I just spoke with my sister whom I rarely talk to because of our busy schedule. I learned that she’s thinking of getting an online it degree while continuing her job as a manager in a call center company. She was actually an architect student in the University of the Philippines before, but stopped schooling when she landed a job with very good compensation.
Being an IT graduate myself, she’s asking me what I think of online it degree programs and if it would be beneficial to take one. I actually can’t really tell since I haven’t tried online courses. But if the degree program she’s eyeing to take is legitimate and would give her some sort of certification, then I told her yes, it would be beneficial. I then thought of checking out any online certifications related to my current job as a system tester/quality analyst.
Anyway, I told my sister to update me on her quest on finding a degree course online. And if she do enroll in one, she let me know. Maybe I could take that one too. Haha!!
