Babies do have a Guardian Angel

It was deep in the night and we were already sleeping when we were awaken by a loud whailing cry. My husband and I stood up at the same time, and upon realizing that it was our baby’s crying, we both looked where baby Kharl was supposed to be sleeping, and that is between me and hubby. But it was an empty space. Turns out, the cry was coming from the floor on the side of the bed. Baby Kharl fell on the floor. Ouch!! Hubby got him and we immediately looked if there’s any swelling or bump in his head, but thankfully, there was none. He was not hurt at all. It’s a good thing and good timing that we bought rubber mats last weekend and placed it on the floor on the side of our bed. That is where he fell so the impact was not that great.

I was really scared that my baby was hurt. I figured, all mommies would probably be terrified like that if their baby fell from the bed or anything bad happens. I know I do. Good thing there’s always an angel looking after babies. Do you believe in that? I remember way back, when my nephew was still a few months old, he also fell from the bed on our cemented hard floor. You’d think he would get hurt, falling on a hard cement. But he didn’t even had a bump in his little head. So I guess, he was saved then by his guardian angel.

New yaya for my baby

At last!! We’ve found a new helper/yaya. Hubby’s uncle got their services straight from Bicol. Yep! That’s right. I said “their”, because there’s two of them. One would be for my mother-in-law and one for us.

And you know what the best part is? They cook well!! Hooorayy!!

Wanted Yaya

It’s been a week now since our helper left without any notice. And we’ve been strangling to cope with the situation. Husband and I are on a different shift so that one of us will be with Kharl and the other at the office. We really need a “Yaya” and we need it now!! I haven’t had the chance to do some serious blogging and more importatly, I haven’t had a chance to sit down and play with Kharl for days now. Aaarrgghh!!

Looking for a helper these days is really hard. It’s either you get someone but don’t meet your expectations, or you just don’t find anyone. Where are the lot? Hubby and I were discussing about this and one joke we had is that most of the not-so-fortunate ones in the province who are willing to go here in manila to look for a job is not contented with being a helper. Instead, they apply as call center agents on some small call center companies who accepts undergrads. Come to think of it, who wouldn’t want to work in a call center where you have a higher salary compared to working as a helper right? So maybe our little joke has a truth to it after all.
Oh well, I hope we get to find a helper soon. Wish us luck!!!

Yaya is missing

It’s been days now since our helper and Kharl’s yaya took a day off and never came back. The past few days have been really hard for me and hubby. Our clothes were already piling up and needs laundry, we’ve been eating those easy-to-cook foods like instant noodles, and our place looks like it has been bombed because of the clutter. I was trying to do stuff around the house at the same time, looking after Kharl but it was really tough. Our little boy is now on the stage wherein he’s very keen with attention and he shouts his heart off if you ignore him.

It’s a good thing our helper Sarah didn’t take any of our things, well except the phone we gave here so we could contact her in cases when our landline phone is not working and she’s the one staying here with Kharl. I honestly don’t know what happened to her. Though she left us without prior notice, I still hope that nothing bad happened.
Now, we’re in dire need of a helper/yaya. For the meantime, we’re staying here at my dad’s house so that hubby and I can go to work. My auntie will be coming here in the morning for Kharl while we’re at the office. This setup will be until we find a new helper or at least until my mother-in-law arrives from abroad.
