My favorite part of a house

One of my dreams is to have a very large, very clean and very organized kitchen. Since I was child, I never experienced having a lovely kitchen. Well, most houses here in the Philippines have those that we call dirty kitchen and that was what we had in our house. I never learned to cook before because I was a bit choosy. I wanted a kitchen like those that we see in cooking shows. I actually still want that now. Haha!

About a year ago, my husband and I went house-hunting near my sister’s home in Quezon City. We visited this Bungalow type house and I really liked the place. Plus, it has a very gorgeous kitchen. The house was also fully finished already and you just need to bring in your things and you’re done! The kitchen already has tiled counters, very chic cupboards and cabinets and a perfect place for the stove. I could just imagine bringing in our own stuff there and having kitchen gifts delivered right there.

Well, we were not able to get that house because it’s priced way out of our budget plus I was pregnant with Kharl then and we had to make sure we get plenty of savings for the baby. But we’ll be pursuing finding a home soon. And when we do, I’ll make sure to find a nice kitchen with it. Haha!!

Birthday Gift for my Father

I’m thinking of buying an LCD TV for my father on his birthday. It’s on August so I still have time to save money for that. It was actually a long overdued plan that I have. I originally thought of giving it as a christmas gift last year. But there were news that robbery was becoming a little rampant on the neighborhood where my father is staying. I don’t want to invite robbers in the house by brining in something that might trigger their bad deeds. So I got my father something else for Christmas.

Last March, we got our little company bonus and I again considered the idea. But another thing came up and the idea was shelved aside again. I had a talk with one of my sisters and she had an idea. We could go on with our plan and buy that LCD tv for our father. We’ll include a wall mount with it so that the TV will just be stuck on the wall and there will be no or less fear of someone taking that away. She has a point actually and so now, I’m considering the idea again. Well, as I’ve said, I’ve got several months before papa’s birthday so plenty of time to think and save.

Send flowers to your loved ones

I know this post might be just a little late. But, as we always say, better late than never. Mother’s day has just passed us last weekend. Were you able to send flowers to your moms or aunts or anyone you know celebrating mother’s day? If not, why don’t you order flowers online and have it specially delivered to them. You don’t get the hassle of going to flower shops plus you can give them to anyone anywhere.

There are lots of flower shops online and it is very easy to order. You get to pick your choice of flowers, arrangements and other stuff that comes with it. Then you just give the address where you want it to be delivered. Very easy! Plus, when you search online, you’re going to see some sites that offers vouchers or discounts, just like those coupons on proflowers that I saw while searching the net.

Mother’s day might already be finished but, it doesn’t need to be a holiday to remember someone and send flowers right?

Blogging dilemma!

This I think has been the longest time that this blog has been silent since it started in 2010. I’ve been in a “state of coma” in terms of writing and updating my blogs. I’ve read from somewhere that there really comes a time when a blogger enters a phase of “writing incapacity” wherein one tries hard to put together his thoughts but unable to do so.

Maybe it’s the stress that I’ve been getting lately from work that’s preventing me to blog. Or maybe my reasons for blogging are slowly changing and that I need to “re-think”. Or maybe, I’m just being lazy and I keep on coming up with other things to do besides blogging.

Well, whatever the reason maybe, I hope I get over it. I don’t want my site to go into nothingness. Hopefully, this post will push me to update this regularly.

Oh, and maybe, I need a blog makeover. Hmmm… interesting!! Stay tuned!!!

Effect of Losing Weight

Believe it or not, my weight is down by 3kg from the moment I started my diet regimen. I am just ecstatic. How do I know I’m starting to lose weight? well, aside from the very obvious of course, which is weighing myself, I’ve been noticing that my clothes are now a size bigger for me. My office slacks are now starting to be low waist and my blouses are beginning to sag because of oversize. Even my home clothes are beginning to get either too large (those bought after I gave birth and gained a lot) and some are beginning to fit perfectly again (those clothes I own before I got pregnant and I was weighing just a little over 50kg).

You might be wondering what is this “diet regimen” of mine that made me shed some pounds. Well, I’m not going to divulge it yet. Not now anyway. I told myself that I would talk about how I’m losing weight when I’ve already reached my ideal weight. As of now, I’m not there yet. But with the rate I have right now, I’d say I might be able to reach my ideal weight by end of summer at the latest.

Anyway, have you noticed that losing weight is costly? Not because I have to buy any slimming products or food. I see it becoming costly because when you lose weight, especially if it’s a lot, you will need a new set of wardrobe. Haha! That is my dilemma now. I need new work clothes and some home clothes. I feel like someone in a sack bag when I’m wearing my pajamas at home because it is just too big. I definitely need some set of adult pajamas, and some robes, and tank tops and shorts.

I’d wait for another week or two before I set myself to shop. After all, I’m still looking forward on losing more weight these coming days. Wish me luck!

A site for my Photoshop works?

I’m thinking of starting a site where I could post my post my Photoshop works like badges, banners, headers, buttons and the likes. I’ve been getting more customers from Fiverr.com ordering customized badges or logos, and I thought maybe I could bring this sideline to the next level.

My works are mostly simple ones. But it’s a start I believe. And I just love receiving comments like “I love the badge you created for me” or “This is pretty amazing. You’ve got talent girl”. Haha!!! Plus, I’m beginning to learn lots of tricks with Photoshop and lately, with Illustrator as well. I wouldn’t want everything that I’ve learned to go to waste.

I might just give this plan a try. But maybe I’d go for a blogspot account for this one. Since I’m not 100% sure this would flourish, I want to see first how it would go. :) Wish me luck!!
