Our project in the office sponsored a movie night yesterday and we watched Transformers 3: The Dark Moon. I find the movie way better than the second one and a little bit in the same level with the first, though I think I like the first one better.
As a preview, Transformers 3: The Dark Moon is a sequel to the first two movies. Here, Sam Witwicky (played by Shia LaBeouf) is already working and has a new girl. This is one thing I don’t like about the movie. I still want Megan Fox. The girl that replaced her, ROsie Huntington-Whiteley, is a Victoria’s Secret model. She’s really hot and sexy and beautiful, except I find her pouted lips too annoying to watch. It’s like her lips were swollen or something. Or maybe I’m just biased, since I’m for Megan all the way. Anyway, the autobots here are working hand in hand with the US military in making sure that human race is protected. However, Optimus Prime learned of the lie that humans told them about the contents of a ship they own. Autobots then went to the dark side of the moon to retrieve the pillars in the ship that crashed there years before, and he was able to revive Sentinel Prime.
I’m not going through the rest of the story since I might be spoiling the movie for some. The movie I must say is a must-see, especially if you’ve followed the first two sequels. The action scenes here are less nerve wrecking than Revenge of the Fallen (where I literally had a headache watching all those machines strangling with each other in their action scenes). But I like that in every action scene, there is a breather. It makes the movie easier to watch and you get a full story on board.
There were some scenes though that you’ll find hard to believe. Like the scene where a building was about to collapse, and several soldiers including Sam and his gf were trying to outrun the decepticons that were shooting at them, and then they just jumped out of that building, and no one was hurt. They landed somewhere and then, they’re running again. Haha!! But yeah, what do you expect, it’s a movie.
Overall, I’d give this movie a two thumbs-up. Worth watching, though I’m just not sure if it’s good in 3D. We only watched it in 2D. But yeah, try in 3D and then let me know how it goes. If it’s good, I might watch it again in the big screen.
